Updates

What’s new in Orbi.

We’re introducing improvements to ticket transfers to make ownership changes clearer and more reliable for both senders and recipients.

What’s changing?

Previously, transferred tickets were immediately marked as transferred once they were sent.

With this update, transferred tickets will now stay in a “Transfer pending” state until the recipient claims the ticket.

During this pending state, senders will also have the ability to cancel the transfer before it is claimed.

How the new flow works

  1. A sender transfers a ticket

  2. The ticket status changes to “Transfer pending”

  3. The recipient receives the transfer

  4. While pending, the sender can cancel the transfer at any time before it is claimed

  5. The recipient claims the ticket through the app or browser

  6. Once claimed, the ticket status updates to “Transferred”

If a transfer is cancelled before being claimed, the ticket remains with the original owner.

Why we made this change

This update improves:

  • Visibility into whether a transfer has actually been accepted

  • Accuracy of ticket ownership

  • Transparency for both senders and recipients

  • Flexibility by allowing pending transfers to be cancelled

  • Reliability ahead of future transfer-related features

What recipients need to do

Recipients must claim transferred tickets before ownership is completed.

They can claim tickets directly through the app or via the transfer link in their browser.

Do organisers need to do anything?

No action is required.

The new transfer flow will roll out automatically.
