Scan tickets using a scanning link

This guide shows you how to scan event tickets using a scanning link — no admin access required. Ideal for volunteers and door staff.

Prerequisites

  • The event organiser must share a scanning link with you

  • The Orbi app installed on your smartphone (install it before opening the link)

Steps

  1. Receive the scanning link from the event organiser

  2. Open the link on your mobile device — this launches scanning mode in the Orbi app

  3. Point the camera at the attendee's ticket QR code

Valid ticket: Screen turns green and shows attendee name, email, and event name. Already used ticket: The scanner displays a clear alert.

Tip: Install the Orbi app before opening the scanning link to avoid delays at the door.
