How to scan tickets at your event

This guide shows you how to set up and use ticket scanning at your event.

  1. Open the event page in the Orbi app

  2. Tap the QR code icon

  3. Select your preferred scanning device

What the scanner shows

  • Green screen — Ticket is valid and unused. Displays attendee name, email, and event name.

  • Already scanned — Ticket has been used. The scanner displays a clear alert.

Letting volunteers scan on your behalf

Generate a scanning link to allow anyone with the Orbi app to scan without admin access:

  1. From the scanner screen, tap the option to share the scan link

  2. Copy the link and send it to your volunteers

  3. When they open the link on their smartphone, they go directly to the scanner

Troubleshooting: scanner not working

If the scanner stops working during your event:

  1. Make sure all scanning devices have the latest version of the Orbi app

  2. Check that devices have an active internet connection

  3. Verify that the event date and time are correctly set in your dashboard

  4. Try closing and reopening the app
